CURRENT/UPCOMING EXHIBITIONS & WORKSHOPS

Landscape Drawing Workshops, CASS Art & Blackwell's Bookshop, Edinburgh

24 July - 7 August 22

I was grateful for an opportunity to teach these workshops covering experimental and imaginative approaches to landscape drawing during the Edinburgh festival season. Students were able to draw outdoors, recording the landscape around Holyrood Park, before taking their sketches inside and developing them further through the use of imaginative and narrative elements. We experimented with a range of media straddling drawing and painting to portray a sense of place and landscape.

Organised by the Gonville & Caius College MCR at the University of Cambridge, the first Human Perspectives exhibition highlights the work of new minority artists across Britain, celebrating and promoting discussion of cross-cultural experiences and diverse tendencies in artistic practice.

After a broad UK-wide invitation, seven artists, including Yeonjoo Cho, Yeonsu Ju, Precious Ndukuba, Yasmin Noorbakhsh, Mansi Shouche, Ramona Verallo and myself were selected to participate.

My works from the exhibition, which can be viewed here, are now held in the University's permanent collection at Gonville & Caius College.
